“The Drain Doctor team were very professional, working efficiently and carefully so as not to interrupt the school day”.

Mr. G. – Operations Manager – Bedfordshire school

A team of Drain Doctor Bedford & Milton Keynes technicians recently attended a school in the Bedford area that had reported problems with blocked drains.

CCTV surveys established that a section of drain had become blocked with tree roots and would need a new lining installed.

The Drain Doctor Bedford & Milton Keynes office provided the customer with a quote and was pleased to book a further appointment to carry out the drain repair works.

On our return, we excavated the damaged section of pipe and cleared the root mass that had grown inside.

Further sections of the pipe were also cleared of roots and the whole drain was jetted to ensure that it was as clean as possible before the lining was installed.

A benefit of using a cured-in-place drain liner to repair a cracked drain is that the work is usually less intrusive than traditional pipe replacement. However, some excavation may be necessary depending on the accessibility of the affected drain pipe.

Further work on site, covered by a [company] preventative maintenance plan for drainage and plumbing maintenance, included the jetting of a 6” foul water pipe.

CCTV images from a survey carried out after the jetting revealed that the drain was of pitch fibre construction and was not in good condition.

Drain Doctor Bedford & Milton Keynes technicians advised the School Operations Manager that another appointment would need to be booked as this section of pipe required re-rounding and lining in order to prevent further and more complicated problems.

Preventative maintenance plans can be tailored to meet the requirements of individual commercial customers. With regular visits scheduled throughout the year our customers have peace of mind that we will maintain the drains at their property to a good standard.
